I bow down to the consort of Goddess Lakshmi, the primordial and eternal Lord, who is the cause of the universe, who is unoriginated, whose body resembles the autumn sky, who holds the lotus, the wheel, and the mace, and who is free from all defects.

सुखराशिकरं भवबन्धहरं परमाष्टकमेतदनन्यमतिः। पठतीह तु योऽनिशमेव नरो लभते खलु विष्णुपदं स परम्।
Whoever, with unwavering mind, recites this supreme hymn consisting of eight verses regularly will certainly attain the supreme abode of Vishnu, who is the destroyer of the bonds of worldly existence and the source of all happiness.

This hymn, composed of eight verses, extols the various divine qualities and actions of Lord Vishnu, who is the consort of Goddess Lakshmi.
