Verse 1:
जगज्जालपालं चलत्कण्ठमालं
शरच्चन्द्रभालं महादैत्यकालम् ।
नभोनीलकायं दुरावारमायं
सुपद्मासहायं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ १॥
I meditate upon the Supreme Lord, who sustains the universe, adorned with a garland on his neck, with a forehead shining like the autumn moon, the destroyer of great demons, with a complexion like the blue sky, whose divine play is unfathomable, and who is accompanied by the goddess Padma. I meditate upon him again and again.

Verse 2:
सदाम्भोधिवासं गलत्पुष्पहासं
जगत्सन्निवासं शतादित्यभासम् ।
गदाचक्रशस्त्रं लसत्पीतवस्त्रं
हसच्चारुवक्त्रं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ २॥
I meditate upon the Lord who resides in the eternal ocean, with a smile like a blossoming flower, the abode of the universe, shining like a hundred suns. He holds a mace, discus, and weapons, is clad in radiant yellow garments, and has a charming smiling face. I meditate upon him again and again.
सदाम्भोधिवासं 'who resides in the eternal ocean', गलत्पुष्पहासं 'with a smile like a blossoming flower', जगत्सन्निवासं 'the abode of the universe', शतादित्यभासम् 'shining like a hundred suns'. गदाचक्रशस्त्रं 'who holds a mace, discus, and weapons', लसत्पीतवस्त्रं 'clad in radiant yellow garments', हसच्चारुवक्त्रं 'with a charming smiling face', भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् 'I meditate upon him again and again'.
Verse 3:
रमाकण्ठहारं श्रुतिव्रातसारं
जलान्तर्विहारं धराभारहारम् ।
चिदानन्दरूपं मनोज्ञस्वरूपं
धृतानेकरूपं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ ३॥
I meditate upon the Lord adorned with the garland of Lakshmi, the essence of the Vedas, who roams within the waters, and removes the earth's burdens. He is of the form of conscious bliss, with an enchanting form, and assumes various forms. I meditate upon him again and again.

Verse 4:
जराजन्महीनं परानन्दपीनं
समाधानलीनं सदैवानवीनम् ।
जगज्जन्महेतुं सुरानीककेतुं
त्रिलोकैकसेतुं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ ४॥
I meditate upon the Lord who is devoid of old age and birth, full of supreme bliss, absorbed in tranquility, and forever fresh. He is the cause of the world's creation, the leader of the celestial army, and the bridge to the three worlds. I meditate upon him again and again.
जराजन्महीनं 'devoid of old age and birth', परानन्दपीनं 'full of supreme bliss', समाधानलीनं 'absorbed in tranquility', सदैवानवीनम् 'forever fresh'. जगज्जन्महेतुं 'the cause of the world's creation', सुरानीककेतुं 'the leader of the celestial army', त्रिलोकैकसेतुं 'the bridge to the three worlds', भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् 'I meditate upon him again and again'.
Verse 5:
कृताम्नायगानं खगाधीशयानं
विमुक्तेर्निदानं हरारातिमानम् ।
स्वभक्तानुकूलं जगद्वृक्षमूलं
निरस्तार्तशूलं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ ५॥
I meditate upon the Lord who recites the Vedas, rests on the king of birds, is the cause of liberation, and the enemy of Hara's foes. He is favorable to his devotees, the root of the world tree, and the remover of distress. I meditate upon him again and again.
कृताम्नायगानं 'the reciter of the Vedas', खगाधीशयानं 'resting on the king of birds', विमुक्तेर्निदानं 'the cause of liberation', हरारातिमानम् 'the enemy of Hara's foes'. स्वभक्तानुकूलं 'favorable to his devotees', जगद्वृक्षमूलं 'the root of the world tree', निरस्तार्तशूलं 'remover of distress', भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् 'I meditate upon him again and again'.
Verse 6:
समस्तामरेशं द्विरेफाभकेशं
जगद्बिम्बलेशं हृदाकाशदेशम् ।
सदा दिव्यदेहं विमुक्ताखिलेहं
सुवैकुण्ठगेहं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ ६॥
I meditate upon the Lord who is the lord of all immortals, whose hair attracts bees, the reflection of the universe, residing in the heart's sky. He has a divine body always, is free from all blemishes, and his abode is Vaikuntha. I meditate upon him again and again.
समस्तामरेशं 'the lord of all immortals', द्विरेफाभकेशं 'whose hair attracts bees', जगद्बिम्बलेशं 'the reflection of the universe', हृदाकाशदेशम् 'residing in the heart's sky'. सदा दिव्यदेहं 'with a divine body always', विमुक्ताखिलेहं 'free from all blemishes', सुवैकुण्ठगेहं 'whose abode is Vaikuntha', भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् 'I meditate upon him again and again'.
Verse 7:
सुरालीबलिष्ठं त्रिलोकीवरिष्ठं
गुरूणां गरिष्ठं स्वरूपैकनिष्ठम् ।
सदा युद्धधीरं महावीरवीरं
महाम्भोधितीरं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ ७॥
I meditate upon the Lord who is stronger than the gods, the foremost in the three worlds, the greatest among teachers, fixed in his true form. He is always brave in battle, the hero of great heroes, and the shore of the great ocean. I meditate upon him again and again.
सुरालिबलिष्ठं 'stronger than the gods', त्रिलोकीवरिष्ठं 'the foremost in the three worlds', गुरूणां गरिष्ठं 'the greatest among teachers', स्वरूपैकनिष्ठम् 'fixed in his true form'. सदा युद्धधीरं 'always brave in battle', महावीरवीरं 'the hero of great heroes', महाम्भोधितीरं 'the shore of the great ocean', भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् 'I meditate upon him again and again'.
Verse 8:
रमावामभागं तलानग्रनागं
कृताधीनयागं गतारागरागम् ।
मुनीन्द्रैः सुगीतं सुरैः सम्परीतं
गुणौधैरतीतं भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् ॥ ८॥
I meditate upon the Lord with Lakshmi on his left side, resting on the serpent, the controller of sacrifices, free from worldly attachments. He is praised by great sages, surrounded by gods, transcending all virtues. I meditate upon him again and again.
रमावामभागं 'with Lakshmi on his left side', तलानग्रनागं 'resting on the serpent', कृताधीनयागं 'controller of sacrifices', गतारागरागम् 'free from worldly attachments'. मुनीन्द्रैः सुगीतं 'praised by great sages', सुरैः सम्परीतं 'surrounded by gods', गुणौधैरतीतं 'transcending all virtues', भजेऽहं भजेऽहम् 'I meditate upon him again and again'.
Verse 9:
इदं यस्तु नित्यं समाधाय चित्तं
पठेदष्टकं कण्ठहारं मुरारेः ।
स विष्णोर्विशोकं ध्रुवं याति लोकं
जराजन्मशोकं पुनर्विन्दते नो ॥ ९॥
