आदौ पाण्डवधार्तराष्ट्रजननं लाक्षागृहे दाहनं
द्यूते श्रीहरणं वने विहरणं मत्स्यालये वर्तनम्।
लीलागोग्रहणं रणे विहरणं सन्धिक्रियाजृम्भणं
पश्चाद्भीष्मसुयोधनादिनिधनं ह्येतन्महाभारतम्।।

Aadau paand'avadhaartaraasht'rajananam laakshaagri'he daahanam
Dyoote shreeharanam vane viharanam matsyaalaye vartanam .
Leelaagograhanam rane viharanam sandhikriyaajri'mbhanam
Pashchaadbheeshma- suyodhanaadinidhanam hyetanmahaabhaaratam ..

Meaning of Eka Sloka Mahabharata

A simplified version of Mahabharata.
Birth of the Pandavas and Kauravas.
Attempt to kill the Pandavas in the Shellac house.
Pandavas losing everything in the game of dice.
Pandavas living for 12 years in the forest.
Pandavas living incognito for 1 year in the palace of Virata.
Attack by Kauravas upon Virata and foiling of their attempt to steal cows.
Attempt to arrive at peace through negotiation.
Then the battle of Kurukshetra, killing of Bhishma, Duryodhana etc.
