Meaning:
Mohasura said:
Salutations to you who are of the form of Brahman,
O Mahodara, embodiment of divine beauty.
You are the enjoyer of all enjoyments,
present as both body and the indwelling soul.
Salutations again and again to the lord who rides the mouse,
to the three-eyed one, to you I bow.
Salutations to the four-armed lord,
the master of all the devas.
Salutations to you who are without beginning,
yet are the origin of everything.
O Vinayaka, O Heramba, protector of the helpless,
to you I bow.
Salutations to Ganesha, the lord of his own bliss,
the guide of Brahman itself.
You grant siddhi and buddhi,
you are one with the supreme reality.
You give knowledge of Brahman to seekers,
you are filled with yogic peace.
You are the master of yogis
and the giver of yoga to them.
O lord of siddhi and buddhi, I bow to you.
Salutations to the single-tusked one.
Salutations to the lord with winnowing ears,
to the brave and heroic one.
You create delusion for all beings,
yet you give happiness to devotees.
For the faithless you specially create obstacles,
to you I bow again and again.
Salutations to the lord of maya,
the support of all illusion.
By your maya you create confusion
for those bound by maya.
How can I praise you, O leader of the ganas,
when even the Vedas with all their limbs
become silent before your greatness?
Yet, out of compassion, you accept praise.
Blessed are my parents,
blessed are my knowledge, penance and study.
Blessed is this body, O lord of devas,
for with it I have seen your lotus feet.
Mahodara said:
This hymn of mine composed by you
will become the giver of all blessings
for anyone who reads or hears it, O asura.
It will destroy delusion
and grant both enjoyment and liberation.
It will bestow wealth, grains and all prosperity,
and give the happiness of sons and grandsons.
