Meaning:
Verse 1
In the early morning I remember the Mother whose forehead is vast like the universe, shining with a crown of gems and adorned with the crescent moon. Her gentle smile is sweet, her glance is filled with compassion, her mouth is fragrant with tambula, and her ears shine with sacred kundala ornaments.
Verse 2
At dawn I meditate on that Divine Mother whose neck is decorated with radiant garlands, whose chest bears the glory of Lakshmi, whose graceful bosom rises with beauty. In her two hands she holds the pot of pure awareness and the lotus. She sits on the lotus seat, she is the supreme Bhagavati, the Queen of all worlds.
Verse 3
In the morning I remember her sacred feet which are like the wish-fulfilling parijata tree for the universe. Her abode is formed of countless jewels. To her devotees she grants yoga and bhoga in limitless measure, giving even more than what is desired, endlessly and without boundary.
Verse 4
At daybreak I praise that Mother who delights in protecting the worlds, whose footstool is worshipped by Brahma, Indra and all the devas. Her body glows red like the rising sun, she is the very form of the bindu, the essence of the divine creative power and the play of Kamakala.
Verse 5
At dawn I worship your name and form, O Mother of the universe, which destroys the sufferings of devotees and is the supreme nectar. You are known as Hrimkara mantra, as the unborn Mother, Bhavani, Bhadra, Vibha, the remover of fear, and as Bhubaneswari.
Verse 6
Whoever remembers these five shlokas in the morning, which give prosperity and remove fear, receives the full grace of the Mother of the universe. Pleased with such a devotee, Bhubaneswari grants success in mantra, fulfillment of desires, and the shelter of her own lotus feet.
