Meaning:
The hymn salutes the Goddess as the highest, honored by brahmanas, belonging to the Shaiva fold, born to Mena, sharing Shiva’s very being. She sits in Kailasa and is accessible through meditation. She is the supreme mother, pure and radiant. This is Parvati in her serene Himalayan form.

Now she is seen as Kaumari. Her glow is like crores of suns. Heat surrounds her because she is energy itself. She is Aparna, the one who performed austerities without even eating leaves. She knows the Vedas, loves music, and is the very voice of sacred chants. This is Devi as youthful power and sacred knowledge.

Her eyes are noble and steady. She gives strength at sunrise, like the sun pushing away darkness. She grants courage in one hand and power in the other. She is Nandini, she is Nada (the primal sound), seated on a tiger, and called Chandraghanta. This is Devi as warrior-protector who rides into life’s fight.

She is charming, gentle, and seated in pure sattva. She grants success and intelligence. She is Arya, the noble mother, full of auspiciousness. As Kushmanda she creates worlds with a smile. She is the seed of creative force. This is Devi as the mother who nourishes and shapes life.

She is Isha of the divine, unmatched by all gods. She grants all accomplishments. She sits on a lion. She is the mother known as Skanda Mata. She is blessed, pure, and always worthy of reverence. This is Devi as the mother who nurtures heroes and protects righteousness.

Here she is Kali, holding sword and discus. She is pure yet destroys the suffering of devotees. Her ornaments cover her fully, she is Durga, born of the clan of Katyayana. This is Devi as fierce justice and fearless intervention.

She is Rudra’s own force, sharp and intense. Revered even by kings. She destroys the wicked and stands beyond time (Kala). Wearing a garland of severed heads, she is Chanda and Kalaratri — terrifying to the cruel, reassuring to the innocent. This is Devi as the remover of deep-rooted evil.

She is beloved of the bearer of the trident, giving ultimate spiritual realization. She destroys sin. She is Kameshwari, fulfilling rightful desires. She is Gauri, fair in form and gentle in presence. This is Devi as tenderness with power held quietly within.

She is steady, seated in inner lotus, adorned in gold, removing pain, humiliation, weakness. Praised by saints, respected through the Vedas, honored by perfected beings, granting success. This is Devi as the solution to real human struggles.

Whoever recites this stotra daily at dawn gains what is truly their own — courage, punya, the fortune of righteous worlds, refined intelligence, comfort, resources, and compassion.
