Lord Ganesh And Yoga

Who is Devarshi Narada an ardent devotee of?
Of course, Sriman Narayana.
But did you know that Sriman Narayana himself caused Narada to worship Lord Ganesha?
This is an interesting story and reveals an unknown aspect of Lord Ganesha.

Once, Narada went to Kailasa.
There, he saw Lord Shiva worshiping an idol of Lord Ganesha.
That idol was made of the all wish granting gem called Chintamani.
Narada just stayed there silently for some time and went to Vaikuntha.

There, he told Sriman Narayana.
I am just coming from Kailasa.
I was shocked to see Lord Shiva there worshiping Lord Ganesha.
Not just casual worship.
He had goosebumps and tears were flowing out of his eyes.
He is the king of Yogis, I thought.
He is beyond emotions, I used to think.
He is said to be the unmanifest Brahman.
What is this, I don't understand.
Who is this Ganesha?
And my second shock - I come to you to find out what this is all about and here you are sitting and chanting Ganesha mantra.
Aren't you Paramatma?
Aren't you Sarvatma?
Aren't you always in bliss?
Lord Narayana is Yogavidam Neta - the leader of those accomplished in yoga.
Krishna Krishna Mahayogin bhaktanam abhayaprada….
He is Mahayogi
Why is he doing this?
Chanting Ganesha mantra.

Bhagawan Narayana said, your curiosity is genuine.
You came all the way to me to know about Ganesha means your curiosity is not casual.
So you deserve to know the secrets about Ganeshwara.
We both, myself and Shiva are yogis between we are Ganesha's devotees.
By practicing yoga, it is HIM that we try to achieve.
At the peak of our yogic practice it is Ganesha that we merge into, become one with.
Becoming one with HIM is our goal.
Because he is himself Yogaswaroopa.
Our devotees practice yoga, dhyana yoga, japa yoga to achieve us but we practice yoga to achieve him.
He is the only Vinayaka and we are all with Nayakas, with masters.
What is the meaning of Vinayaka?
Vi - Nayaka, without a master because he is the one and only master of all.
What you asked me today, I had asked Shiva myself when I saw him worshiping Ganesha.
And he told me so many things about him some of which is what I am telling you now.

The awareness I five-fold. Through full control over awareness is achieved.
Then there is no more being misled by the illusory world.
What does the name Ganesha stand for in yoga?
Ga stands for samprajnata samadhi, Na stands of asamprajnata samadhi.
He is the Isha, lord of both samprajnata samadhi and asamprajnata samadhi.
That is why he is Ganesha.
He himself becomes the maya shakti causing the existence of the perception of the world.
He is himself devoid of maya but he himself causes maya.
This is a secret about Ganesha.
Most people think that he is just the son of Mahadev.
No, that is just a small aspect of him.

After hearing this, Narada left and observed tapas to propitiate Lord Ganesha.
He got darshan after 10 years and was blessed with permanent yogavastha.
Anyone who needs success in yoga should worship Lord Ganesha.
