Who is a Muni – only the one who has known Omkara, the immeasurable Omkara, the infinite Omkara, Omkara which ends all duality. He alone qualifies to be called a Muni, not just anyone.
Know this Pranava to be Ishwara, Sri Hari, who is in the heart of all beings. Omnipresent. There is not a single point in space where Omkara does not exist.
Om is Brahma.
Om is Vayu, Prana, the life force.
Om is Atma.
Om is Truth, Satyam.
Om is Sarvam, Om is everything.
This Omkara is Sri Hari.
Bhagawan says in the Gita –
One who leaves his body thinking about Me and chanting Omkara will attain Parama Gati – the ultimate destination, the ultimate refuge – from which he will never have to come back.
Both are important – thinking about Sri Hari and chanting Omkara. Thinking about His form and thinking about His name in its entirety – that is Omkara, which contains all His thousand names.
That syllable Omkara, chanted by knowers of Veda, which the dispassionate Yatis enter, desiring which Brahmacharya is observed – I will tell you that one syllable – Omkara.
I am the essence in water.
There is Amruta in water, healing power of all the medicines are there in water. That essence (Rasa) of water – I am.
When Veda emphatically says that all the healing power is there in water, we need to do more research into this. We may end up concluding that we may not need anything other than water for healing and curing.
So Bhagawan is telling Arjuna – प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोः – I am the brilliance, the light of the sun and moon.
I am the sound in the sky – ether (Akasha) is the medium through which sound primarily travels.
I am the manliness, courage, valor in men.
I am Omkara in the Vedas.
Why does Bhagawan call Bhrigu as the greatest among Maharshis?
