Every day, all the Devas like Brahma and Sankara offer namaskaras at your feet. The shine of the navaratnas studded on their crowns, when they fall upon your feet, looks like a neerajana, a deeparadhana of your feet is taking place. I take refuge in them.
The Vedas say 'Tadvishnoh param padam'—your feet are the greatest. That is their fame. The nectar oozes out of them. But when you hold your palm with the fingers pointing down towards your feet, aren’t you saying the same thing? Aren’t you drawing our attention toward them, guiding us to take refuge in them? I take refuge in them.
The same feet that you showed Arjuna to fall at when you were his charioteer, you are now gesturing to us with your own hand to fall at. I take refuge in them.
Your feet are upon my head. The same feet subdued the hood of arrogant Kaliya, walked in great jungles, stood on the peak of Venkatadri, are in the Shrutis, Vedas, and occupy the thoughts of great yogis. I take refuge in them.
