The nakshatra which spreads from 26 degrees 40 minutes of Mesha Rashi to 10 degrees of Vrishabha Rashi is called Krittika (कृत्तिका). This is the third nakshatra in Vedic Astronomy. In Modern Astronomy, Krittika corresponds to the Pleiades.
