Salutations to Lord Pashupati, the lord of all beings. Salutations to the Lord of spirits, Rudra, the fierce form of Lord Shiva. O wielder of the fierce sword, roam freely. Move swiftly and dance. O one who is smeared with ash from the cremation ground, adorned with garlands of skulls and bells, wearing a tiger skin, and crowned with the crescent moon. You, who wear a black serpent as your sacred thread, move, sway, and go forth. O invincible one, destroy the demons, strike fear into them, and in the center of the circle, strike with the Rudra goad. Enter the moment, fill the moment. The lord of the sharp-edged sword, Rudra, commands: Swaha!
