By this time, Brahma, who had heard about the killing of Aghasura, reached there. He wanted to see the hero who killed Aghasura. And when he saw what was happening there, he said, this can't be Sri Hari. How can Sri Hari accept such impure food? This must be some ordinary Gopa boy.
And when they looked around, suddenly they realized that the calves were not there. They were gone. They had all entered into the forest nearby looking for fresh grass.
Lord Krishna said, don't worry, you all continue eating, I will go look for them.
Seeing all this, Brahma said, let me check how good this boy is. If he has killed Aghasura, let me check how powerful he is.
Brahma took away all the calves. Sri Hari went into the forest and looked, the calves were not there. And when he came back, all the Gopa boys were also gone. They were missing.
Sri Hari said, this must be Brahma's trick.
Now let him have fun, I will also have fun my own way.
Now the Gopika mothers will look for their sons.
The cows will look for their calves.
Lord Krishna created all the missing calves and Gopa boys from his own body. Exactly as they were.
Even the same clothes, same nature also. Exactly as they were.
The newly created Gopa boys continued grazing the calves, and at sunset, they all went back to Nandgaon. The calves joined back their mothers, and the boys went back to their own respective homes.
There was one small change. The cows started showing more affection towards their calves.
The Gopi mothers became more affectionate towards their boys. Nobody noticed this.
And the Lord, who had two mothers until then—Devaki and Yashoda—acquired many mothers in the form of all those Gomatas and Gopi Matas. He himself had turned into all the calves and Gopa boys.
The Lord enjoyed the love and affection of all of them, mothers.
As time passed, some of the Gopa boys got married. Those days, marriage at a young age was common.
And the Lord himself enjoyed marital bliss through all of them.
And in the meantime, the Lord continued protecting all of them.
This is what it means when we say Sri Hari is inside every being. This is what it means.
Now, this is a small story, a few calves and a few Gopa boys.
So, this multiplied by infinity is what it means when we say that he fills the universe, he is everything in the universe, he pervades everything in the universe, it is he himself who is undergoing every experience in the universe through every being in the universe.
One year passed like this.
Only a few days were left for the completion of the anniversary of the day on which Brahma took away the Gopa boys and calves.
One day, Balarama was grazing these calves near the Govardhana.
At that time, there were also some other Gopas who were grazing their cows also there.
When those cows, when they saw these calves which were Sri Hari himself, those cows came running and started feeding them their own milk, expressing motherly affection towards them in every way, licking them, gently pushing them with their heads.
Balarama was surprised.
The Gopas, when they saw this, they became annoyed. They came to steer the cows away. But when they came near, they couldn't stop themselves from taking the calves into their laps and petting them.
Balarama said – what is happening? For the past one year, lot of things have been changing in Vraja. There is more love and affection all around. Everyone has become gentler, softer, and more affectionate. Everyone, including the Gomatas.
What is happening?
Balarama closed his eyes and started meditating.
And he saw everything, everyone in the entire Vrindavana—north of Govardhana and south of Yamuna—in the form of Lord Krishna.
Everything and everyone turned into Krishna. There was nothing but Krishna all around.
With flute in the hand.
Peacock feathers in the hair.
Bluish hue of the fresh rain clouds.
Adorned with garlands of pearls and red Gunja seeds.
Garlands of lotuses and lilies.
Beautiful gem-studded crown on the head.
Curls of hair playing around the kundalas hanging from the ears.
Eyes resembling petals of the fully blossomed lotuses of the autumn.
Beautiful nose ornament made of pearl.
Ornaments on both hands.
Golden yellow clothes.
Girdle made of pearl and gems.
Beautiful gem-studded anklets.
As brilliant as a crore of suns.
As handsome as a crore of Kamadevas.
Hundreds of such Krishna filling the entire Vrindavana from Govardhana to Yamuna.
Every Gopa turned into this.
Every Gopi turned into this.
Every cow turned into this.
Every calf turned into this.
Every plant turned into this.
Every tree turned into this.
Hundreds of Krishnas.
Balarama realized this is some game going on between Brahma and Sri Hari.
Balarama said:
You are capable of creating out of nowhere crores of Brahmandas.
This is why Brahma, Ananta, Dharmaraja, Indra and Shiva serve you always with devotion.
At this time, Brahma also came there.
He saw the same Gopa boys and calves he had taken away and kept hidden, right there.
He thought, oh, this boy must have gone there and found them when I was not there.
He went back to check. They were all there only.
When he came back to Vrindavan, they were here also.
Brahma was astonished.
He tried to trick Lord Krishna by taking away the boys and calves.
He himself got tricked.
Brahma didn't know what to say.
The Lord mercifully gave him darshan of himself.
Brahma also saw everything in Krishna swaroopa as Balarama saw.
Tears started rolling down Brahma's cheeks in ananda.
All the Devas witnessed this glory of Sri Hari.
They all started singing his praises.
See, even Devas like Brahma don't understand his omnipresence by default.
But the Lord, Sri Hari, is kind enough to impart this knowledge, and he does this so playfully.
That is his kindness. That is his greatness.
What does it mean when one reality appears as many without dividing itself?
It is like one sun reflected in countless pots of water. The reflections multiply; the sun does not split. Bhagavan remains one while showing up as all.
Why did tenderness surge in vraja when he became every calf and boy?
When the indweller stands unobstructed, love rises naturally. Presence intensifies affection; affection reveals presence.
What is the point of a simple meal shared under a tree?
It collapses status. Where status drops, Lakshmi stays. Sharing converts food into worship and friends into family.
Do purity rules lose meaning when devotion is strong?
No. Rules train attention; devotion fulfills purpose. When love is clear, form bends without breaking hygiene, respect, or responsibility.
Why is ‘testing the divine’ spiritually risky?
Because the limited tries to measure the limitless. The sane option is to test one’s own ego and let humility learn.
What logic supports calling him ‘sarvaha’ here?
Cause, continuance, and knowledge converge. He originates, sustains, and knows every detail; therefore, he can stand as every form.
How can a household practice ‘he is in all’ without becoming naive?
Keep kind eyes and prudent boundaries. Offer respect to the self in all; offer trust according to conduct.
What mealtime habit invites Lakshmi into the home?
Clean space, clean hands, first morsel offered mentally to Vishnu, and a portion reserved to share. Order and gratitude magnetize grace.
How does bhakti translate into physical steadiness?
Nama-japa regulates breath, which calms the nervous system. Calm nerves reduce cravings, improve sleep, and support consistent routines.
What family practice echoes the picnic’s spirit without fuss?
Weekly shared potluck at home: one simple dish per person, a short remembrance, and phones away. Small, repeatable, affectionate.
Why were even devas out of depth here?
Rank does not equal realization. Without surrender, intellect stares at the ocean and calls it a mirage.
How should a seeker hold ‘rules vs love’ in daily choices?
Keep the principle in front: non-harm, truth, cleanliness, devotion. Choose the method that best serves the principle in that situation.
What protects purity while sharing food freely?
Hygiene, separate serving spoons, washed hands, and gentle speech. External cleanliness plus inner courtesy keeps sanctity intact.
What is a practical way to remember ‘he is the eater and the offering’?
Before the first bite, pause one breath and think: ‘by you, for you, as you’. This anchors attention and quiets grasping.
How does this scene redefine leadership?
The highest does not dominate; it nourishes by becoming the many. Real authority serves without advertising itself.
What should I learn from brahma’s bewilderment?
Drop the urge to control the narrative. Let reality teach you. When pride loosens, understanding arrives.
What is the ethical outcome of seeing him in all at work?
Fair pay, honest credit-sharing, and zero exploitation. You cannot mistreat someone you truly see as a vessel of the same one.
What single daily anchor keeps this vision warm?
Early rising, a brief name-chant, mindful, shared meals, and one act of giving. Repeat. Consistency turns insight into muscle memory.
