Mantra to purify yourself internally and externally

अपवित्रः पवित्रो वा सर्वावस्थां गतोऽपि वा । यः स्मरेत् पुण्डरीकाक्षं स बाह्याभ्यन्तरश्शुचिः ॥

apavitrah' pavitro vaa sarvaavasthaam gato'pi vaa . yah' smaret pund'areekaaksham sa baahyaabhyantarashshuchih' ..

'Whether impure or pure, or in whatever condition one may be, if a person remembers Pundarikaksha (the lotus-eyed Bhagavan Vishnu), that person becomes purified both outwardly and inwardly.'

Deeper sense:

This shloka teaches that remembrance of Bhagavan is itself purifying.

A person may be physically unclean, mentally disturbed, emotionally broken, confused, tired, guilty, or surrounded by difficult situations. Still, sincere remembrance of Bhagavan cleanses the inner mind and the outer state.

'Bahya' means external purity.
'Abhyantara' means inner purity.

The verse declares that divine remembrance is stronger than temporary human impurity.
