Subramanya Mantra for Protection
शक्तिहस्तं विरूपाक्षं शिखिवाहं षडाननम् ।
दारुणं रिपुघोरघ्नं भावये कुक्कुटध्वजम् ।
shaktihastam viroopaaksham shikhivaaham shad'aananam .
daarunam ripughoraghnam bhaavaye kukkut'adhvajam .
I meditate upon Kukkutadhvaja (One who has a flag with the symbol of a cock), who holds the spear (Shakti) in his hand, who has three eyes (Virupaksha), who rides the peacock (Shikhivaha), who has six faces (Shadaanana), who is fierce and powerful, and who destroys terrible enemies.
