The nakshatra which spreads from 23 degrees 20 minutes of Kanya Rashi to 6 degrees 40 minutes of Tula Rashi is called Chitra (चित्रा). This is the 14th nakshatra in Vedic Astronomy. In Modern Astronomy, Chitra corresponds to Spica.
