Aparadha Kshamapana Stotram

Aparadha Kshamapana Stotram

The Aparadhakshamapana Stotram is a prayer seeking forgiveness for any mistakes made during the recitation of Devi Mahatmya — be it in pronunciation, meter, tone, or mental focus. It humbly asks the Divine Mother to overlook such faults and shower her grace so the fruits of the recitation remain intact.

One who has committed a hundred faults but simply utters ‘Jagadambe’ —
reaches a state so divine, even Brahma and other gods can’t touch it.

Such is her compassion —
that one cry of surrender melts lifetimes of sin.

I am full of faults, O Jagadambika.
Yet I’ve come to your feet — helpless, open, surrendered.

Do with me as you will —
I am yours now.

Whatever I’ve done —
out of ignorance, forgetfulness, or delusion —
too little, too much, or just wrong —

forgive it all, O Devi.
Shine your grace, O Supreme Mother.

O Kameshwari, O Mother of the cosmos,
your very form is truth, consciousness, and bliss.

Accept this worship — not for show,
but with love — because I have nothing else to give.

You are in every form, O Devi.
This whole world — it’s soaked in your presence.

So I bow to you — the all-formed,
the formless, the Supreme.

If I messed up a syllable...
If I dropped a vowel, skipped a sound —

please, O Maheshwari, complete it with your grace.
Let your mercy fix what my tongue failed to.

O Jagadambike, if this recitation missed any dots, breaths, or letters —
let it still be whole, by your grace.

And may every good intent behind it
bear fruit without fail — only through your blessing.

Whether I chanted this with right letters or not,
with devotion or without —

out of care or out of confusion —
whatever was said, unsaid, misread —

let all of it become whole, flawless, complete,
just because you will it so, O Varada.

Be kind, O Divine Mother.
Be kind, O beloved of your devotees.

Give me your grace, O Durga.
Again and again, I bow to you.
