Yoganidra Devi is the controller of rest and sleep. The following story shows her great power and role in saving the universe.
Long ago, the three worlds were submerged in water. Lord Vishnu was asleep upon Adishesha. From the dirt in his ear, two demons, Madhu and Kaitabha, were born. They saw Brahma seated on a lotus coming from Vishnu’s navel. Filled with arrogance, they attacked Brahma to destroy him.
Brahma prayed to Vishnu for help, but Vishnu was in deep sleep. This sleep was not ordinary. It was caused by Yoganidra Devi. Brahma realized that she ruled even over Vishnu. He thought, 'If Vishnu is under her control, all gods, including me, must be subordinate to her.'
Brahma then prayed to Yoganidra Devi. He praised her greatness and begged her to awaken Vishnu. The goddess withdrew from Vishnu’s body. Freed from her influence, Vishnu awoke and saw the danger.
Vishnu fought Madhu and Kaitabha in a fierce battle. Using his great power, he defeated them and saved Brahma. Order was restored in the universe.
This story shows Yoganidra Devi’s supreme power. Even the highest gods are under her control. Her role is vital for cosmic balance. Without her intervention, Vishnu could not have awakened, and the universe would have faced destruction.
Yoganidra Devi is not just the goddess of rest and sleep. She is a force that ensures the smooth functioning of the cosmos. Her story reminds us of her unmatched power and importance.
The Sudarshana Chakra, the divine discus of Lord Vishnu, has a thousand spokes. It is a powerful weapon that operates at the speed of mind and destroys anything in its path. It has its own consciousness and obeys only Vishnu.
Vibhishana's opposition to Ravana's actions, particularly the kidnapping of Sita, and his commitment to dharma led him to defect and ally with Rama in the pursuit of righteousness. His defection is an act of moral courage, showing that sometimes it is necessary to take a stand against wrongdoing, regardless of personal cost. This can encourage you to make tough decisions when confronted with ethical dilemmas in your own life.
Is your body something inferior and to be despised?
