Words of Wisdom - 3

  1. There are eight supreme flowers of worship: Non-violence is the first, control over senses is the second, compassion towards living beings is the third, forgiveness is the fourth, calmness is the fifth, restraint is the sixth, love is the seventh, and truth is the eighth flower. These flowers please the Lord. Other flowers are merely external means of worship. The Lord is pleased only with worship offered using these eight flowers because He loves devotion and affection.
  2. Living beings have the right only to what is sufficient to fill their stomachs. One who accumulates more than that is considered a thief and deserves punishment.
  3. A little knowledge is wisdom; excessive knowledge is ignorance!
  4. A moth, once it sees the light, never returns to darkness. Ants give up their lives in sweetness but do not turn back. Similarly, devotees, after experiencing the bliss of the Lord’s vision, immerse themselves in it and never look back.
  5. Those who can perform spiritual practices while living in this world are, in truth, the real heroes.

Why Listening to Krishna’s Stories is Important

Krishna’s stories are not just tales - they hold deep spiritual power. These stories of Krishna’s leelas and avataras have been loved by saints and seekers for ages, as each story reveals his greatness and compassion. Even things Krishna touched, like the sacred River Ganga, became holy and gained the power to purify people’s sins. Ganga Mata, as she is known, received this purity from touching Krishna’s feet, allowing her to cleanse millions of sins. Krishna’s stories, too, can purify, bring peace, and uplift everyone who hears them.

The Divine Origin and Authority of the Vedas

'Dharma' (righteousness) is established by the Vedas, and 'Adharma' (unrighteousness) is its opposite. The Vedas are considered a direct manifestation of Sri Hari, with Bhagavan being the first to proclaim them. Therefore, scholars who understand the Vedas assert that the Vedas embody the essence of Sri Hari. This underscores the belief in the divine origin and authority of the Vedas, highlighting their role in guiding humanity towards righteousness.
