ॐ तद्विष्णोः परमं पदं सदा पश्यन्ति सूरयः
दिवीव चक्षुराततम्
Om tadviṣhṇoḥ paramaṁ padaṁ sadā pashyanti surayaḥ
diviva chakṣhuratatam
Om, that Supreme State of Vishnu is always seen by the wise,
like the wide-open eye in the sky.
Vishnu has got two states - Parama, and Apara.
The Apara state is his manifestation in the form of the world we see around us.
Veda says -
इदं विष्णुर्विचक्रमे त्रेधा निदधे पदं
Idam vishnurvichakrame, tredha nidadhe padam.
The manifested universe is encompassed by his three footsteps.
His 'Parama' state is seen only by great sages and scholars, and even they can only see it from a distance.
Hardly anyone has entered that state.
The scholars and sages keep meditating upon that state.
We are told to see everything around us as a manifestation of Paramatma.
But we should understand that what we see around us is not everything.
Bhagavan's 'Parama' state is beyond all these manifestations and can only be seen, not accessed, by scholars.
And Bhagavan in that 'Parama' state oversees everything like an eye from the higher world.
Remembering Bhagavan purifies us.
यः स्मरेत्पुण्डरीकाक्षं स बाह्याभ्यन्तरः शुचिः
Yah smaret pundarikaksham sa bahyabhyantarah shuchih
That’s why we should remember him at the beginning of everything, to achieve purity.
Sages are always pure because they look beyond the imperfections of the world and keep themselves focused on the ‘Parama’ form of Bhagavan.
