The Miracle of Lord Ganesha in Paris
Dr. Ravi Sharma was a renowned professor from Mumbai. He was invited to a prestigious conference in Paris. This was his first trip to Europe. Upon arriving in Paris, he checked into a hotel and prepared for his presentation.
The conference went well. The topic he presented was highly appreciated.
The next morning, when he woke up, he was shocked to find that his passport, visa, wallet, and mobile phone had all been stolen. Panic gripped him. He felt helpless in a foreign land. English-speaking people were rare in Paris.
Ravi immediately informed the hotel manager. The manager apologized and assured him they would investigate. The police arrived, but they did not seem very interested in helping. His return ticket to Mumbai, along with all other essentials, was lost.
Ravi sat on a bench outside the hotel, not knowing what to do.
Ravi was a devoted follower of Ganapati Bhagavan. Every day, he worshipped the Lord, and every year, he celebrated Vinayaka Chaturthi at home with great devotion by installing a Ganapati idol.
He prayed, 'Bhagavan, please help me. I do not know what to do. Show me a way.'
Within a short time, a man approached Ravi and started speaking in Hindi. His name was Rajeev. He was an Indian who had been living in Paris for years. Seeing the distress on Ravi’s face, Rajeev asked what had happened and understood everything.
After listening carefully, Rajeev said, 'Do not worry. I have contacts at the embassy. Let us try.'
Rajeev took Ravi to the Indian embassy in Paris. There, he spoke to his acquaintances and explained Ravi’s situation. The officials quickly arranged emergency travel documents for Ravi. Rajeev took Ravi to his home and took care of him. Ravi could not believe what was happening. It felt like a miracle.
The next day, as Ravi was about to leave at the airport, he asked Rajeev, 'How did you find me?'
Rajeev replied, 'I do not know. As usual, I was taking my morning walk on my regular route. Suddenly, I felt a voice telling me to change my path. That is when I saw you. I feel that God led me to you.'
Ravi's eyes filled with gratitude as he realized that Ganapati Bhagavan had helped him. He returned safely to Mumbai. His family and friends were astonished upon hearing what had happened.
Once again, it was proven that Ganapati Bhagavan never abandons his devotees.
