prabravaamaadipoojitapadena purandaramanollaasakaranena
kankashailavihaarena varena valleedevasenaaramanena
aakaaravri'ttena saanandena bhogamokshapradaanena nityena
venkat'eshvaranaamaroopena vichitravishaakhamahotsavena
shukarahasyaprakaashaguruguhena kri'ttikaasutashuddhadhanyena

Meaning:
1. सुब्रह्मण्येन रक्षितोऽहम् अष्टादशलोचनाखण्डेन
I am protected by Subrahmanya, the one whose divine vision extends everywhere and who sees through all directions without limitation.
The phrase ashtadasha lochana literally means eighteen eyes. Symbolically it means supreme awareness and watchfulness. Nothing escapes his sight. The devotee feels completely protected under that divine vigilance.
2. प्रब्रवामादिपूजितपदेन पुरन्दरमनोल्लासकरणेन
I proclaim the glory of the one whose feet are worshipped even by the first among the gods and who brings delight to the mind of Indra (Purandara).
Here it is saying that even Indra, the king of the Devas, finds joy and strength through Subrahmanya. His feet are worthy of worship by the highest celestial beings.
3. कङ्कशैलविहारेण वरेण वल्लीदेवसेनारमणेन
He who moves freely on the sacred mountain (Krauncha or the divine hill), the great boon-giver, the beloved husband of Valli and Devasena.
Murugan is described as the lord who resides in sacred mountains and who blesses devotees. His marriage to Valli and Devasena represents the union of divine grace with both the earthly and celestial worlds.
4. आकारवृत्तेन सानन्देन भोगमोक्षप्रदानेन नित्येन
He whose form is perfect and complete, who is always blissful, who grants both worldly enjoyment and spiritual liberation.
Subrahmanya does not only give spiritual freedom. He supports the devotee in worldly life as well. He grants both bhoga (prosperity and fulfillment) and moksha (liberation).
5. वेङ्कटेश्वरनामरूपेण विचित्रविशाखमहोत्सवेन
He who is known in many divine forms and names, celebrated in grand festivals such as the sacred Visakha celebration.
Visakha is deeply connected with Murugan. The line highlights the joyous festivals and worship performed in his honor.
6. शुकरहस्यप्रकाशगुरुगुहेन कृत्तिकासुतशुद्धधन्येन
He who reveals the deepest spiritual secrets, the inner Guru called Guha, the blessed and pure son of the Krittika stars.
The name Guha means the one who resides in the cave of the heart and reveals hidden knowledge. Subrahmanya is both a warrior deity and a spiritual teacher.
Combined Meaning
The devotee declares:
I am protected by Bhagavan Subrahmanya, the all-seeing divine warrior, worshipped even by the greatest gods, who delights Indra, who resides on sacred mountains, the beloved of Valli and Devasena, the blissful giver of prosperity and liberation, celebrated through sacred festivals, and the inner Guru who reveals the deepest spiritual truth, the pure and blessed son of the Krittikas.
