This is a conversation between Srimannarayana and Sage Yajnavalkya.

Yajnavalkya went to Vaikuntha once and asked Srimannaryaan: Who is at the foundation of the whole universe?

I presume it is you.

The whole universe has sprung out of you that's what I believe but still, I am asking.

Srimannaaryana said that is not correct.

Ganesha is at the very foundation.

He is the foundation of the universe.

His world Swananda is in the foundation of the universe.

Universe has sprung out from there, not from me.

That's why we all worship him at the beginning of everything.

Not just the beginning.

He is there at the middle and he is there at the end also.

His two consorts Buddhi and Siddhi he only gives Buddhi intelligence inside and success Siddhi outside.

Once all the tattwas of the universe, the components of the universe got together and started arguing.

I am the greatest, I am the greatest.

You know, the physical world is a projection of the mind.

Of the individual and collective mind.

Collective mind is a conglomeration of umpteen individual minds.

At the time of creation, there is an evolution of the components of the universe.

Starting from parbrahma parmatma in 36 stages.

Each tattwa, each component comes out of the previous tattwa or a combination of tatwas.

This is called Tattwa-srishti.

Even the Pancha Bhutas are projecting of the mind.

At the lowest level are the Panch Bhutas earth water fire air and space.

Above that are the shabda - sparsha - rupa - rasa - gandha tanmatras; like that
it goes up and up.

Even above the organs, you will find that means organs are derived from the mind only.

So it is these tatwas who are fighting here.

A nobleman walked in there.

They started wondering.

This place is not accessible to anyone how did you come here.

He said I have come with the power of Yogamaya.

Now tell me what are you all arguing about?

Who is the greatest among us?

Prithvi said the universe can not exist without me water also said the same thing.

The nobleman said there is a way to find out.

You start withdrawing from the universe one by one.

By whose withdrawal the universe collapses he should be the greatest.

Prithvi withdrew nothing happened water withdrew nothing happened each tattwa withdrew and nothing happened.

When all the tatwas had withdrawn and nothing happend to the universe the nobleman said now we will see withdrawing Swananda the abode of Lord Ganesha and see.

When Swananda withdrew then the whole universe collapsed.

That means the whole universe is resting upon Swananda.

The nobleman was none other than Lord Ganesha.

Srimannaraya is saying all this.

The Lord says do you know what the name Ganesha stands for?

Gakara in Ganesha stands for everything that is within the reach of mind and words and Nakara stands for everything beyond the reach of mind and words.

He is Isha, Lord of both Ga and Na.

Lord everything, Lord of both perceivable and non-perceivabe, conceivable and non-conceivable.

When you realize this truth the ultimate peace will descend upon you.

We are all shareereees, we all have bodies but Ganesha is the real Parabrahma, Paramatma from whom everything has come out, including us.

This is the secret about Lord Ganesha revealed to Sage Yajnavalkya by Srimannarayana.
