    The terms help beginners point at nuances seen from the outside. Once clarity settles, the labels are dropped like a ladder after climbing. Language divides to teach; realization unites and renders the split irrelevant. The essence never needed the distinction.

  • Is the presence of sensations and choices with a body not a real difference?
    Only if sensations are granted final reality. The free one sees experiences as passing show and does not identify with them. Identification is the hook; when it is gone, sensations carry no binding power. What changes is attention, not essence.


  • Why does the body remain after awakening?
    Because prarabdha karma is like a wheel spinning after the push stops. The inner error is gone, but the remaining motion plays out. This persistence does not touch the realized clarity. It ends when the stored momentum runs out.

  • Does knowledge not cancel karma right away?
    Knowledge cancels ignorance about who you are; it does not rewrite the already rolling film. Karma concerns the body-mind stream, not the self that is known as free. So both can appear together without contradiction. One is appearance, the other is ground.

  • If the body lingers, is freedom incomplete?
    No, because freedom is about identity, not inventory. The free one knows they are the sky, not the passing clouds. Clouds do not stain the sky; they only move within it. In the same way, the body’s remainder does not diminish freedom.


  • How can a free person still seem to have a body?
    Because our seeing is colored by habit and imagination. We project a fixed identity onto a moving form. The free one has dropped that identification even if form is visible. What we take as proof of bondage is only our reading of appearances.

  • Is this like a mirage that looks like water from afar?
    Yes, it appears convincing until examined with right knowledge. The scene can remain visible while the belief in it falls away. Clarity changes the seer, not the desert. With that shift, the same view loses its binding claim.

  • But if touch and sight confirm a body, does that not settle it?
    Senses confirm an appearance, not its metaphysical status. Touching a heated iron ball does not prove fire and iron are separate; it only shows a composite effect. Likewise, what is contacted is a process, not a self. The self is known directly as awareness, not by sensory proof.


  • What exactly creates the sense of bondage and difference?
    Ignorance manufactures divisions like with-body and without-body. It mistakes passing patterns for the self. When this mistake ends, divisions collapse into a single fact of being. The clarity is stable, simple, and indivisible.

  • Can one live without leaning on mental divisions?
    Yes, by using them only as tools and not as identity. Keep distinctions for function, drop them for truth. Like using lanes to drive but not to define the road itself, you stay practical without getting trapped. Peace grows where reification ends.

  • Is it not inconsistent to speak of differences for teaching and deny them in truth?
    It is consistent once levels are kept straight. Provisional language meets the learner where they stand. Final clarity shows that the ladder is expendable. Both moves serve one end: freedom from confusion.


  • What do images like water and wind add here?
    They show sameness of essence through changing display. Water is water whether still or rippled; wind is wind whether gusting or quiet. In the same way, freedom is one across seeming modes. The analogies train the mind to look past surface change.

  • How does this insight help daily life?
    It loosens the grip of circumstances on your peace. You keep responsibilities but drop the identity-clutching behind them. Decisions become cleaner when fear and craving lose their throne. The result is steady, serviceable composure.

  • But water can get dirty; does that not weaken the analogy?
    The point is not about purity events but essence. Dirt changes appearance, not the wet nature of water. Likewise, events can color the stream of life without touching the fact of awareness. Read analogies by intent, not by literal stretch.


  • Is freedom dependent on any outer condition?
    No, because anything conditional can be lost. Freedom is the recognition of what does not come or go. It remains when gain and loss alternate at the surface. That is why it is trustworthy.

  • How should one hold this while living a busy life?
    Treat roles as roles and the self as the stage. Perform well, keep ethics tight, and return often to quiet recognition. Let outcomes be weather over the mountain. The mountain does not bargain with the sky.

  • If conditions hurt, how can freedom be said to stand untouched?
    Pain may arise in body or mind, but suffering spikes when identity fuses with it. Freedom breaks that fusion. You address pain with skill while your core remains unshaken. This separation of fact from fixation is the relief.
