Meaning of Sarvamangala Mangalye

सर्वमङ्गलमाङ्गल्ये शिवे सर्वार्थसाधिके ।

शरण्ये त्र्यम्बके गौरी नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥

sarvamangalamangalye shive sarvarthasadhike

sharanye tryambake gauri narayani namostu te

Combined meaning:
'O Devi, you are the most auspicious among all that is auspicious. You are the embodiment of purity and auspiciousness itself. You fulfill all purposes and goals of devotees. You are the ultimate refuge. You are the three-eyed radiant Goddess, Narayani. I offer my salutations to you.'

The three eyes represent knowledge of past, present, and future. Nothing is hidden from Her.

Gauri represents purity, compassion, and nurturing power.

The supreme cosmic power behind Narayana:

As Narayani, She is the Shakti of Narayana. Without Her, even the sustainer of the universe cannot act.

The liberator from fear and suffering:

This verse is traditionally recited during danger, illness, and distress because it invokes Her protective force.
