ॐ रुद्रात्मिकायै विद्महे शूलहस्तायै धीमहि |
तन्नो माहेश्वरी प्रचोदयात् ।
om rudraatmikaayai vidmahe shoolahastaayai dheemahi |
tanno maaheshvaree prachodayaat .
Meaning:
We contemplate the one who is of Rudra's essence. We meditate on the Goddess who holds the trident. May Maheshwari guide and inspire our intellect.'
Devi is recognized as the fierce and protective energy of Shiva, holding the shula (trident) which cuts through ignorance and harmful forces.
