Kunjika Stotram – The Secret Key that Unlocks the Full Power of Durga Saptashati

Kunjika Stotram is a sacred hymn revealed by Bhagavan Shiva to Devi Parvati in the Yamal Tantra. It is not an ordinary prayer. It is the secret key that unlocks the full power of Durga Saptashati.

The word ‘Kunjika’ means ‘key’. Just as a key opens a locked door, this stotram opens the hidden power of Devi’s mantras. Without this key, the deeper spiritual force of Chandi Path remains concealed.

Through this stotram, Devi is invoked in her most fundamental form — as the source of creation, preservation, and dissolution. She is present as the bija mantras such as Aim, Hrim, and Klim, which represent knowledge, power, and manifestation.

Bhagavan Shiva himself declares that even devas find this stotram difficult to obtain. It must be protected carefully and practiced with devotion and sincerity.

By reciting Kunjika Stotram, obstacles are removed, inner strength awakens, and Devi’s grace begins to actively protect and guide the devotee.

शिव उवाच ।

शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम् ।

येन मन्त्रप्रभावेन चण्डीजापः शुभो भवेत् ।।

Bhagavan Shiva said:

O Devi, listen. I will explain the supreme Kunjika Stotram. By the power of this stotram, the chanting of Chandi becomes auspicious and effective.

This stotram activates the full power of Devi Mahatmyam.

कवचं नार्गलास्तोत्रं कीलकं च रहस्यकम् ।

न सूक्तं नापि वा ध्यानं न न्यासो न च वार्चनम् ।।

Kavacham, Argala Stotram, Keelakam, Rahasya, Sukta, Dhyana, Nyasa, and Archana are not essential when this stotram is recited.

Kunjika Stotram itself invokes Devi’s complete power.

कुञ्जिकामात्रपाठेन दुर्गापाठफलं लभेत् ।

अतिगुह्यतरं देवि देवानामपि दुर्लभम् ।।

By merely reciting Kunjika Stotram, one obtains the full benefit of Durga Saptashati.

This stotram is extremely secret and rare even among devas.

गोपनीयं प्रयत्नेन स्वयोनिरिव पार्वति ।

मारणं मोहनं वश्यं स्तम्भनोच्चाटनादिकम् ।।

This must be protected carefully, like one protects one’s own source of life.

Through its recitation, destruction of negativity, attraction of positive forces, control over disturbances, and removal of obstacles are achieved.

पाठमात्रेण संसिद्ध्येत् कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम् ।।

By mere recitation, perfection and success are attained.

Devi’s power becomes active through this stotram.

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं ज्वल उज्ज्वल प्रज्वल ।

ह्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं स्रावय स्रावय ।

शापं नाशय नाशय ।

श्रीं श्रीं जूं सः स्रावय आदय स्वाहा ।।

Aim is Devi as knowledge.

Hrim is Devi as supreme cosmic power.

Klim is Devi as attraction and manifestation.

Devi is invoked to blaze, shine, and destroy curses, obstacles, and negativity.

She removes all blockages and activates spiritual energy.

नमस्ते रुद्ररूपायै नमस्ते मधुमर्दिनि ।

नमस्ते कैटभनाशिन्यै नमस्ते महिषार्दिनि ।।

Salutations to Devi in the form of Rudra.

Salutations to the destroyer of Madhu.

Salutations to the destroyer of Kaitabha.

Salutations to the destroyer of Mahishasura.

Devi destroys ignorance, ego, and arrogance.

नमस्ते शुम्भहन्त्र्यै च निशुम्भासुरसूदिनि ।

नमस्ते जाग्रते देवि जपे सिद्धं कुरुष्व मे ।।

Salutations to Devi who destroyed Shumbha and Nishumbha.

O Devi, awaken and make this japa successful.

Devi activates the mantra and grants success.

ऐङ्कारी सृष्टिरूपिण्यै ह्रीङ्कारी प्रतिपालिका ।

क्लीङ्कारी कालरूपिण्यै बीजरूपे नमोऽस्तु ते ।।

Aimkari Devi is the creator.

Hrimkari Devi is the sustainer.

Klimkari Devi is the dissolver.

She is the source of creation, preservation, and dissolution.

चामुण्डा चण्डरूपा च यैङ्कारी वरदायिनी ।

विच्चे त्वभयदा नित्यं नमस्ते मन्त्ररूपिणि ।।

Devi is Chamunda, fierce and protective.

She grants boons.

She removes fear.

She herself is the embodiment of mantra.

धां धीं धूं धूर्जटेः पत्नी वां वीं वागीश्वरी तथा ।

क्रां क्रीं क्रूं कुञ्जिका देवि शां शीं शूं मे शुभं कुरु ।।

She is the consort of Shiva.

She is Vagishwari, the controller of speech.

She is Kunjika Devi.

She grants auspiciousness.

हूं हूं हूङ्काररूपायै जां जीं जूं भालनादिनि ।

भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रूं भैरवी भद्रे भवान्यै ते नमो नमः ।।

She is the embodiment of the sound Hum.

She destroys negativity.

She is Bhairavi.

She is Bhavani, the compassionate mother.

Salutations again and again.

अभक्ताय न दातव्यं गोपितं रक्ष पार्वति ।

विहीना कुञ्जिकादेव्या यस्तु सप्तशतीं पठेत् ।

न तस्य जायते सिद्धिर्ह्यरण्ये रुदितं यथा ।।

This stotram must not be given to the faithless.

One who chants Durga Saptashati without Kunjika Stotram does not obtain full success.

It is like crying in a forest without response.

Kunjika Stotram unlocks Devi’s full grace.
