Foster Father of Lakshmi Devi

The next mantra

मनसः काममाकूतिं वाचः - not only what I have verbally asked for, I may have forgotten to ask for certain things. So whatever desires are there in my mind also, unspoken desires – मनसः कामम्.

Aakooti means – icchcha – abhiparayaha.

All these should become satya - permanent, without break

अशीमहि – अभिलभेमहि – may we obtain all these – without break.

पशूनां रूपं अन्नस्य रूपम् – wealth in all forms, as cattle, grains.

मयि श्रीः यशः श्रयतां – not only wealth, may she also give me यशः – fame.

The eleventh mantra

Kardama is a Prajapati – Brahma’s son.

When Lakshmi Devi came out of Ksheera Sagara, she is Sagara’s daughter.

Kardama adopted her as his own daughter. So Kardama is her foster father.

There is not much about this anywhere.

There is one shloka –

So it is prayed to Kardama –

Hey Kardama,

Hey Kardama, she is your daughter. Make that Shree Devi, Mother Goddess, wearing garland made of lotus, stay in our household, vasaya me kule.

The twelfth mantra

आपः – means waters, the primordial waters upon which Sri Hari is lying on top of Adi Shesha.

May they srijantu – generate.

Snighani – all that are moist, liquid – like ghee, oil – in addition grains, cattle folk, gems. You cannot exclude ghee, oils, milk, curd from abundance. They should also be available in abundance.

The prayer is to the waters on top of which Sri Hari is lying down.

Chikleeta –

Chikleeta is the guard of the door of antah pura of Bhagavan.

Who resides in the antah purah of Bhagavan – Lakshmi Devi.

And Chikleeta guards the antah puram of Bhagavan, the dwelling place of Lakshmi Devi.

Now, Chikleeta is being prayed to here –

Hey Chikleeta, वस मे गृहे – stay in my house.

But Chikleeta will stay only if Lakshmi stays, because he is Mata’s guard.

Not only that –

Hey Chikleeta,

Thereby make Shreedevi, the Mother Goddess, stay in my kula, my home.

  • How does bhakti address even the wants I never said aloud?
Bhakti aligns the mind with Bhagavan's will; when intent, effort, and remembrance are steady, even half-formed wishes get channelled into clear actions and timely support.

  • Why seek both wealth and fame without becoming egoistic?
Wealth is fuel for dharma and service; fame is trust in society's eyes. Keep seva first, review actions weekly, and offer credit to Lakshmi Devi and your team to stay grounded.

  • How does disciplined speech invite grace?
Truthful, calm speech reduces conflict, saves energy, and strengthens sankalpa. Mantra, a soft tone at home, and no harsh words after dusk keep the house receptive to Lakshmi.

  • Do everyday materials like ghee, oil, and grains really matter?
Yes. They nourish the body and symbolize steady prosperity. Stock the kitchen mindfully, share food weekly, and your home becomes a living puja room for abundance.

  • What is the role of protective forces in a household?
Guard the doorway of the mind and home: clean spaces, ethical income, respectful guests, and a fixed puja time. Protection follows order.

  • How can bhakti improve family relationships?
Light a lamp together, sing one bhajan, and do a gratitude round at dinner. Small daily rituals build trust faster than long debates.

  • Is it wrong to pray for prosperity while others suffer?
Pray, earn ethically, and pledge a fixed share for charity. Lakshmi flows strongest where wealth circulates and heals, not where it hoards.

  • How do I measure spiritual progress beyond money?
Track three markers: calmer breath under stress, kinder speech under provocation, and steadier charity under uncertainty. If these rise, grace is at work.

  • How to prevent envy and comparison as success grows?
Replace scrolling with short japa breaks, celebrate others' wins, and keep a ledger of blessings already received. Envy fades when gratitude is tracked.

  • What to do when prayers seem unanswered?
Tighten ethics, simplify expenses, increase seva, and refine the ask. Sometimes the vessel needs reshaping before the flow increases.

  • How does this apply to business decisions?
Choose fair pricing, honest contracts, and timely payments. Bhagavan Vishnu's order rewards reliability; Lakshmi stays where promises are kept.

  • What daily routine anchors grace and physical vitality?
Wake early; water, breath, and a short mantra; balanced meals; one act of service; evening lamp; device-free last hour. The body steadies, the mind brightens, and fortune follows.

  • Why invite blessings to stay in the family line?

Shared values outlast one paycheck. Teach children prayer, kindness, and skill; blessings become culture, not chance.
