Meaning:
Salutations to Bhagavan Shiva, who has five faces, ten arms, and three eyes.
He is seated upon the pure white bull Nandi. His form is adorned with radiant white ornaments, symbolizing purity, clarity, and supreme detachment.
He is united with Devi Uma, sharing half of his body with her. This sacred form shows that Shiva and Shakti are inseparable — consciousness and power functioning together as one reality.
O cosmic Lord whose form encompasses the entire universe, I bow to you with reverence.
Insight:
• Five faces (Panchavaktra) – Shiva’s five aspects governing creation, preservation, dissolution, concealment, and grace.
• Ten arms – limitless power to protect dharma and guide the cosmos.
• Three eyes – the sun, moon, and fire; also past, present, and future; and the eye of spiritual knowledge.
• White bull (Nandi) – dharma, strength, and unwavering devotion.
• Half united with Uma (Ardhanarishvara principle) – the perfect harmony of masculine consciousness and feminine energy.
• Vishvamurti – the entire universe is his manifestation.
Benefits of Listening -
• Strengthens mutual respect
The mantra glorifies the form where Bhagavan Shiva shares half his body with Devi Uma. It silently teaches that husband and wife must treat each other as equal partners.
• Reduces ego clashes
Regular devotional listening calms the mind. When the mind becomes quieter, arguments driven by ego reduce.
• Creates emotional stability in the home
Shiva represents inner stillness. Listening to Shiva mantras brings that same steadiness into family life.
• Encourages cooperation
The Ardhanarishvara symbolism teaches that masculine and feminine strengths must work together rather than compete.
• Builds a sacred atmosphere in the house
When such mantras play in the background daily, the home environment becomes more peaceful and respectful.
No. Initiation is required only if you want to do mantra sadhana, not for listening. You just have to listen to the mantras we provide to get benefited.
