A Prayer That Lakshmi Devi Should Never Go Away

Now, after praying to Sri Hari, may Lakshmi be brought to me. Then it is again prayed to him that Lakshmi thus brought should never go away also.

हे जातवेदः – lord whose aiswarya is original, not given by someone.

Lakshmi to whom Brahma, Indra, all the suras, all the asuras pray.

तां लक्ष्मीं म आवह – bring her to me.

What kind of Lakshmi – what kind of aishwarya?

Lakshmi who would not go anywhere else, leaving me, staying with me forever.

यस्यां अहं विन्देयं – may she give me:
हिरण्यं – gold – all kinds of immovable properties.
गाम् – cows, cattle folk – all kinds of movable properties.
अश्वम् – all kinds of vehicles and other comforts.
पुरुषान् – men, servants, helpers, people who serve, provide services, who would make life comfortable.

So, Sri Hari should bring her to me. She should not go away from me, and she should give me all kinds of wealth and comforts like immovable properties, movable properties, vehicles, and men to be of service to me.

All these are important, you see. Suppose you have a palace-like house and nobody to take care of it – 10000 sq feet and you have to broom and mop it every day – will life be comfortable? So you need men also to help you, to make life comfortable.

When you do sadhana of Lakshmi beeja mantra – whatever you think with your mind, whatever you see with others, you see somebody else having it and you also want it – all that would come on their own.

  • Why ask Vishnu to bring Lakshmi instead of asking her alone?
Vishnu is order and protection; Lakshmi is flow and fruition. When you seek both together, intention and outcome align, so gains come clean and stay.

  • What does ‘may prosperity never depart’ mean in daily life?
It means a steady state of clarity, discipline, and gratitude that prevents money, health, and goodwill from swinging wildly.

  • How does bhakti become a practical wealth engine?
Bhakti calms inner noise, reduces impulsive choices, and sharpens judgment. A quiet mind picks better work, partners, and timing.

  • What simple bhakti routine supports both income and peace?
Rise early, 5–10 minutes of mantra to Vishnu, a short Sri Lakshmi prayer, one act of help, and a brief ledger check. Keep it small but daily.

  • How is physical health part of divine grace?
Energy is the carrier of grace. Protect sleep, digestion, movement, and breath. Without steady energy, even good fortune leaks away.

  • Is it right to desire staff, vehicles, or comforts?
Yes, if they serve purpose and care. Pay fairly, maintain what you own, and avoid vanity buys that drain time and attention.

  • How do couples weave bhakti into love and money without awkwardness?
Begin the day with a 2-minute joint prayer, keep a shared budget view, set a spending approval limit, and keep a monthly date that celebrates frugality and gratitude.

  • What if one partner earns more?
Honor one mission. Divide roles by capacity, not ego. Thank visible and invisible work. Respect keeps love and Lakshmi together.

  • How do family money talks stay calm?
Hold a weekly 30-minute meet: income, bills, goals, one improvement. Write decisions. No blame, only next steps and timelines.

  • How do I test whether a new opportunity carries blessing or trouble?
Four gates: lawful, truthful, non-harmful, value-creating. If any gate fails, decline, even if the money looks big.

  • What habits stop prosperity from quietly leaking out?
No clutter piles, on-time bills, preventive maintenance, written budgets, and a hard cap on late-night scrolling and impulse buys.

  • How do I keep humility as resources grow?
Offer the first portion in charity, keep lifestyle simple, and practice silent gratitude. Let calendars show values more than purchases do.

  • What is a one-week reset to realign grace, body, and money?
Sleep by 10, walk 30 minutes daily, home-cooked food, track every rupee, no screens after 10, and one act of discreet giving.

  • How can children learn devotion and prosperity together?
Short bedtime prayer to Vishnu and Lakshmi, three jars for spend-save-give, paid chores that create value, and weekly gratitude notes.

  • How does devotion guide career moves?
Place ambition at their feet, then choose paths that build skill, reputation, and service. If health or family breaks, the price is too high.

  • Why do some rich homes feel tense and joyless?
Wealth without order and virtue breeds noise. Late nights, clutter, secrecy, and status stress displace grace. Fix habits first.

  • What are early signs that grace is thinning?
Chronic tiredness, missed payments, growing clutter, sharper quarrels, secret spending, and loss of focus.

  • What if prayers seem unanswered for a long time?
Time and purification matter. Tighten conduct, shrink waste, keep serving. Small right wins compound into large outcomes.

  • How to sanctify the workspace for steady results?
Keep a clean desk, a small lamp or image, begin with a short mantra, and end with a written plan for tomorrow. Order invites order.

  • Is it selfish to ask for comfort and love along with wealth?
Not if comfort restores health and love strengthens duty. Seek what helps you serve better; drop what dulls your purpose.
