In the bustling city of Mumbai, there lived a girl named Meera. She loved helping others and always started her day by saying a prayer before heading to school. Her grandmother often told her, 'Meera, whenever you are scared, just call out to God. He is always with you.'
One evening, Meera was walking home from her tuition class. She hummed a bhajan as she strolled along the busy street. The city lights twinkled, and the honking cars made the night feel alive. But as she turned into a quieter alley to take a shortcut, she noticed a shadowy figure following her.
Her heart pounded. She wanted to run, but her feet felt glued to the ground. The man took slow steps toward her, his eyes scanning the empty alley. Tears welled up in her eyes. She remembered her grandmother’s words and whispered, 'God, please help me.'
At that very moment, the sound of sirens filled the air, and a police car suddenly pulled up at the alley’s entrance. A strong voice called out, 'Is everything alright here?' The man immediately turned and ran in the opposite direction, disappearing into the city streets.
Meera gasped, feeling warmth and peace fill her heart. She knew in her heart that God had sent help just in time. Gathering her courage, she quickly walked back to the main road and hurried home. When she told her grandmother what had happened, the old woman smiled and said, 'My child, God listens to those who call upon Him with faith. You are never alone.'
From that day on, Meera never felt afraid. She knew that even in the busiest streets, God was always watching over her, ready to guide and protect her. And every time she said her prayers, she whispered, 'Thank you for always being with me.'
And so, the little girl who once feared walking alone at night became the girl who walked with faith, knowing that God’s love was her greatest shield.
